A portion of money raised at the 2009 function will be divided evenly between the towns of Trangie, Narromine, Tottenham and Warren and be allocated to areas of need within these communities, ranging from health, youth, education and the aged.

The communities that the Macquarie Matrons live in have been recently ravaged by drought and economic hardship. The committee have chosen for their minor beneficiary for the 2009 function, Macquarie Matrons Regional Support Fund. Macquarie Matrons recognise the support that is given to them by their communities to make these events such a success and as a result created an initiative to give directly back to the towns they live in and the community that supports them. |
